No-Attitude Recordings would like to cordially invite you to our label showcase this Saturday featuring artists, uBER-TONE and Sal Goodman at Cafe 1001. We start early, so while you are out galavanting around East London during the afternoon, be sure to roll through from 6pm onwards. 1001 doesn’t need much of an introduction as it is infamous for its underground arts and music environment, but if you aren’t from around here it’s the epicentre of Brick Lane.
Never Trust DJ’s
ÜBER-TONE: Synth-driven Human House Music.
ÜBER-TONE’s sound echoes from beach parties to sweaty East London warehouses. Drawing on musical influences from the last 25 years of electronic dance music, ÜBER-TONE weave sparkling live vocal melodies, over a backdrop of sculpted bass lines, synth riffs and beats to hand deliver hook-laden tunes aimed at the dance-floor. ÜBER-TONE mix digital and live instrumentation in their live performances, blending together everything from 70’s disco, through 80’s synth pop, house, garage and dubstep into their tunes and mixing them into a live DJ set format.
The project is a collaboration between Dobi Kwe – vocalist and keys, Steve Brandwood – production, electronics and guitar, Shaun Lee – bass, and Zsolt Olah – drums. Together they have rocked venues in London, Brighton and a number of intimate festivals around the UK.
Born in the heart of South America and later relocating to Naples, Italy, Sal Goodman’s flavor mingles between that of his Brazilian roots and Mediterranean cultivation. He credits living in the south of Italy as truly inspiring; there is a remarkable communion between the Naples sea air and electronic dance music.
